5/10/2014, Seignosse, France: Jadson Andre of Brazil in action against John John Florence, of Hawaii, who emerged victorious, in the final of the Quiksilver Pro France today , the 9th event of 11 on the 2014 Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour. Florence consistently earned the highest scores during the ten day competition and this win leaves him in fifth place on the ASP WCT world rankings and in contention for the 2014 surfing world championship crown. 11 times world champion Kelly Slater was eliminated in the semi-finals, as was Mick Fanning, the current holder of the title, in an earlier round.
